All about Little Llamas 

We set up Little Llamas Childminding after many years teaching in the classroom. For us, we wanted a better work-life balance, to spend better quality time with our families. We are passionate about children and wanted to create a warm and nurturing learning space for children to flourish and be cared for to a high standard. 

Our provision is home based and includes inside and outside space. Our indoor provision consists of an in-house and a refurbished garage. This way we can set up provision for all ages of children, that is meaningful and educational. Our outdoor space consists of a spacious garden with lots of hands on play equipment. 

We pride ourselves on our provision and the planned learning experiences we engage children in everyday. We are experienced in the Early Years Foundation Stage and The National curriculum and therefore plan learning opportunities based on this. We try to get out into our local area as much as possible, and therefore will be taking the children on trips and visits to the library, high street, parks, forests and playgrounds. Where possible we join toddler groups. 

We provide full day care between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm. All food is provided, including breakfast, lunch, and a substantial afternoon snack. All drinks and snacks throughout the day will be provided. We provide drop offs and pick ups from Branfil Primary School. Morning and after school care includes food also. For children attending after school, we understand they may want to just relax after a day at school but we also plan further learning opportunities for them through play. We will happily read with the children and complete any home learning reading tasks set from their teachers and will record in their school reading records.
